Say it again - Swiss-Garden Resort & Spa Damai Laut, Swiss-Garden Resort & Spa Damai Laut, Swiss-Garden Resort & Spa Damai Laut, Keng Dou Nin Jim Nun Jum Pei Pa Kao! While the department was busy building teams, I walked up the beach looking for photos (and seashells). It has been just too long since I really, took, photos. To my dismay, I could explore no more than 50 meters from where I started before being met by a big, unfriendly slab of rock. So, instead of taking a lot of photos on different subjects, I took a lot of different photos on the same subject. The primary theme of the evening was to try out different white balance settings, while the secondary theme was to experiment with different ways (ISO-Shutter-Aperture) to achieve the same exposure.
(Auto white balance, ISO 400, F16, 1/250) (Auto white balance, ISO 400, F16, 1/125) I like Manual Mode because you don't have to worry about exposure compensation or waramashit. But I only use Manual Mode when I'm shooting landscapes because, unlike people, landscapes won't shout at me if I blotch up the photos. Buthen, I can't get landscapes to smile for me. Here's some with cloudy white balance, and the subtle differences in the color are due to timing (when I took the photographs), positioning (where I stood), and of course, the exposure settings. (Cloudy white balance, ISO 400, F16, 1/60 - closest to dusk) (Cloudy white balance, ISO 400, F16, 1/60) (Cloudy white balance, ISO 400, F13, 1/60)
(Cloudy white balance, ISO 400, F14, 1/60, with waves lapping at my thighs) Because of a serious lack of beach, I got bored eventually. I shot this last one to capture the so-called sunset and then ran off to play beach soccer! (Cloudy white balance, ISO 400, F16, 1/125) leave me a message
